I'm here! I'm here! And I saw my first gang-banger get arrested yesterday so I feel like a total Angeleno.
I'm getting ready to go to the gym (again, like a total Angeleno!) so I will update later about my run-ins with Alexander Skarsgard, Pauly Shore, and Jeremy or Jason London (I'm not sure which one it was and seeing if I could force him to do drugs to find out seemed unfair. Besides, as it turned out, he was telling the truth?)
Anyhoo, I've got a lot to tell you about gardening! (Did you know if you get dirt wet it turns into mud? Yuck.)
And bumpers! (They don't bump off anything... they go, "Scraaaaaaaatch!")
And there's probably more but, again, I have to go because I have to get to the gym!

Justin Bieber's 'Maria' Is His 'Billie Jean,' Manager Says
Scooter Braun insists to MTV News that track about paternity allegation is not based directly on Mariah Yeater scandal.

<P>If you wondered just how personal <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> would get on his chart-topping new album, <a href="/news/articles/1687691/justin-bieber-believe-album-details.jhtml"><i>Believe,</i></a> the answer is pretty personal. But much like an episode of "Law & Order," the names and events have been altered to protect the innocent.</P><P>This is most obvious on his baby-mama-drama track, <a href="/news/articles/1683817/justin-bieber-believe-paternity-scandal-song.jhtml">"Maria,"</a> on which Bieber addresses a paternity allegation made against him by a fan. In real life, <a href="/news/articles/1674509/justin-bieber-paternity-suit-dropped-2.jhtml">Bieber faced such an allegation</a>, and it eventually faded away. If you ask anyone in the singer's camp, however, the track isn't exactly about a girl named Mariah Yeater.</P><P>"I think he has [a lot of personal songs on the album]. I think 'Be Alright' [is]. I think a lot of the album is very, very personal, but I think for tabloid purposes 'Maria' sparks a lot of interest," his manager, Scooter Braun, told MTV News. "But I don't know why. It's not about <i>anyone.</i> It's just a story. You know, legally it's not about anyone."</P><P>It might not be about someone with the initials "M" and "Y" directly, but Braun does say it speaks a lot to Bieber's celebrity status. Every move he makes is a headline, a topic that has been dissected in pop music for decades.</P><P>"Michael [Jackson] had this amazing record called 'Billie Jean' and [producer] Rodney Jerkins, Justin and I had a conversation about kind of what had Justin been through the last year and just how people talk and make up stories about him," Braun explained. He added that getting all the facts about a Bieber-related story isn't always necessary because "when it comes to Justin Bieber the hype alone is enough to get you CNN."</P><P>That theory ties into the paternity claim, which quickly escalated into one of the biggest stories of Bieber's young life, regardless of the truth of Yeater's claim. "There was a story that took place that was so false that it should have never even seen the light of day," Braun said. "And it ended up becoming international news. He has to deal with that kind of stuff and he wrote a song kind of addressing it and it's a pretty awesome song. And it's our 'Billie Jean.' "</p>

Justin Bieber Gets Bloody In 'As Long As You Love Me' Tease

<P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> looked a little beaten and bloodied in a photo released by his <a href="/news/articles/1688450/justin-bieber-next-single-as-long-as-you-love-me.jhtml">"As Long as You Love Me" video director</a>, Anthony Mandler. According to the director, "It's a story of love.... #believe."</P><P>He then tweeted a <a href="https://twitter.com/justinbieber" target="_blank">still photo</a> of Bieber looking beaten up with blood dripping from his mouth, as if he had been punched. Perhaps Bieber must fight to keep his girl in the new video?</P><P>Bieber shot the clip earlier this month and on his Twitter teased that it would be along the lines of a short film. The video will also feature rapper <a href="/news/articles/1687783/justin-bieber-big-sean-true-g.jhtml">Big Sean,</a> who tweeted about how epic he thinks the video is going to be. "@justinbieber gonna be a GOOD vid!" he wrote in the midst of shooting. "Congrats boi."</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Justin Bieber Proving His Haters Wrong With 'Good Music'" id="vid:793035" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>Sean wasn't the only visitor on set. Bieber also got a number of other A-list drop-bys, though no word on whether they will appear in the clip. Bieber shared, "My big bros @usherraymondiv @iamwill and @asherRoth all came thru the video shoot. #Believe."</P><P>While little is known about what will happen in the video, other than Bieber getting hit, the singer's manager, Scooter Braun, shared that it would leave other guys very envious. "I promise on everything that every guy on the planet wishes they were Justin Bieber in this music video right now," he tweeted.</P><P>Bieber's longtime associate, videographer Alfredo Flores, added, "As Long as You Love Me video is epic! @justinbieber is destroying this dance. @BigSean is killing his verse. #GETREADY."</P><P>"As Long as You Love Me" is the second video and single from Bieber's <a href="/news/articles/1687691/justin-bieber-believe-album-details.jhtml">chart-topping <i>Believe</i></a> album. This is the first time that Mandler has worked with Bieber, though he has already helmed major video releases for the likes of Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Usher and Jay-Z, to name a few. A release date for the video has yet to be announced.</P><P>This is not the first time this year that fans have seen Bieber get beaten up for his art. Michael Clarke Duncan: Hospitalized After Cardiac Arrest! Saved by Omarosa!
Actor Michael Clarke Duncan was hospitalized today following a cardiac arrest, as sources confirm The Green Mile star is in stable condition.
Duncan suffered a myocardial infarction early this morning, and his girlfriend Omarosa Manigault performed CPR on him around 2 a.m. The two-time Apprentice contestant was apparently able to successfully resuscitate the baritone actor upon finding him.
Duncan has been nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe, and most recently starred in the now-cancelled Fox show, The Finder. The show was a spin-off of the hit Fox show, Bones.
We here at THG wish Duncan a full, speedy recovery. This marks the first time we've ever been happy Omarosa was around.

Fatal Stabbing Near Sandra Bullock's Boston Set
Hard at work on her latest film, Sandra Bullock was spotted shooting new scenes on the Boston set of "The Heat" on Tuesday afternoon (July 10).
The Academy Award-winning actress looked professional for her role as an FBI agent in an all-grey suit as she tried to stay focused due to the recent mishaps nearby.
In other news, the Boston city set that has been the home to the "Miss Congeniality" star's latest project has been seeing quite a bit of excitement. As previously reported by GossipCenter, a Boston City bus crashed into a parked production truck on Monday morning (July 9) and according to recent reports, another scary situation occurred.
Earlier today, three people were involved in a fatal stabbing just one block from set. According to a report put out by FOX News, officials say the dispute started at a Social Security Administration office and later led to the parking lot where one man was killed and two others were injured.
Police say an officer who was working on "The Heat" set has now played an important role in helping to obtain a suspect in the incident.

Gene Simmons Family Jewels Season 7 Finale
Last night on A&E, we had the Season 7 finale of Gene Simmons Family Jewels. Three half-hour episodes were shown back-to-back, wrapping up the latest chapter for Gene and Shannon. In the first episode, Shannon and daughter Sophie pose for a sexy calendar to raise money for our war veterans while Gene disapproves until holding a concert of his own. Then we get a two-parter where Gene begins a tour in South America with a group of rockers from other bands, like Def Leopard, while Shannon worries about groupies. After the first concert in Buenos Aires, where Gene autographs a young woman′s butt, Shannon makes Gene sleep on the couch at their hotel room. Ouch!

This season proved to be a strange one as Gene and Shannon muddle their way through their new status of married life. The adoption saga dominated much of the episodes as the couple still attends therapy sessions with Dr. Ann Wexler. Last night, we got to see their son Nick have some therapy from Dr. Wexler, as questions are raised about how he treats women? Is Nick turning into another Gene? Like father like son?
The real action began during a ′greet and meet′ back-stage before the first All-Star Rocker concert in Buenos Aires. Gene and the other band members were being photographed with fans as things began to get wild. Shannon, watching from a distance, becomes very disturbed when she watches him autograph the butt of a young lass. She storms off and returns to the hotel, locking the bedroom door. When Gene finally rolls in, she tells him she left his stuff on the couch.
The next morning, Gene awakens to find no Shannon. Not good! Especially given that the band′s private jet is scheduled to depart early. Gene arrives at the airport and there is no sign of Shannon. The take off is delayed until she finally arrives, giving Gene the cold shoulder. On the ground in Lima, Peru, they have dinner together and Shannon spells out her disgust in plain language. Gene agrees to behave himself, but can he really?
So ends this season of Gene Simmons Family Jewels. With less than a year of legal marriage under their belts, Gene and Shannon still have a long way to go in defining their relationship. Now we have signs that their son, Nick, may be joining Gene in the dog house. Daughter Sophie is the most level-headed one of the bunch, but will she be able to survive the storms around her? These questions and more await us for next season.

Tom Cruise-Katie Holmes Divorce Settlement Talks Underway
Lawyers for Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are working to hash out a settlement in their divorce case in hopes of avoiding a protracted, public battle.
Quite the contrast from Kris Humphries, who's been fighting Kim Kardashian tooth and nail almost a year later ... and getting Myla Sinanaj pregnant.
Anyway, back to the topic at hand. Lawyers on both sides are in talks to negotiate a prompt, amicable and private Tom Cruise-Katie Holmes divorce.
"Neither one of them wants this to be hashed out in public," says a source.
Holmes's visit comes after Cruise attorney Bert Fields spoke to the BBC about his plan to let the other side play the media before filing a response.
"Tactically we can't say where Tom will file a divorce case and if he'll be seeking joint custody of [six-year-old daughter Suri Cruise]," said Fields.
Sources say the lawyers are negotiating child custody, visitation, child support and a property settlement between the couple, which has a prenup.
The whole settlement could be ratified in New York if all goes well, preempting a rumored move by Tom's camp to transfer the case to California.
Here's hoping they get it done for their own good, and their daughter's.
